Every month the female releases a mature egg from her ovary, the egg travels through the fallopian tubes. Sperm from the male through the cervix swims and reaches the tube and gets fertilized. This fertilized egg reaches the uterus and starts to implant. This is the fertility process, when a female gets any interruption this process results in infertility. Let us see about the most common reasons for female infertility.

Ovulation problem:

Improper ovulation is the basic reason for infertility. Ovulation is the process that happens in every woman, a mature egg is released from either one of the ovaries every month when the egg is not released regularly then there is a delay in pregnancy. There are several reasons for improper ovulation.

Polycystic ovaries: Hormonal imbalance causes polycystic ovaries, which affects the mensuration cycle. Because of PCOS, a woman gets overweighed, facial hair growth, acne, hair loss, stress.

Hypothalamic dysfunction: In the pituitary gland two hormones namely follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) are produced. These hormones are responsible for the growth of the egg. When there is an imbalance in these hormones there occurs infertility.

Fallopian tube problem:

When there is a disturbance or a blockage in the fallopian tube the egg and the sperm fail to meet and there is no fertilization takes place. The fallopian tube blockage or damage is caused by pelvic inflammatory diseases like chlamydia, gonorrhoea, and sexually transmitted diseases.

Uterus problem:

The uterus is the place in which the fertilized egg implants to the walls and starts to grow. When the uterus is filled with cysts, fibroids, polyps, septum there occurs infertility. Endometriosis is another major problem caused in the uterus. Endometriosis occurs when the tissue grows to the inner walls of the uterus it blocks the tube and damages the eggs and sperm. Endometriosis can be removed by surgical procedures. Unusual uterus shape is also another reason for infertility.

Egg quality problem:

The egg released from the ovary should be matured so that it results in fertilization. If the egg is immature or not a healthy egg means it cannot undergo the fertilization process. At the same time number of eggs released by the female also matters. If she releases more than one quality egg means there is a greater chance of pregnancy. The quality and the quantity of the egg depend upon the age of the female if she is aged then the quality of the egg will not be good.
